Lake Segara Anak, Lombok Island, Indonesia

Lake Segara Anak is a volcanic crater lake located within the caldera of Mount Rinjani on Lombok Island, Indonesia. Formed by a massive volcanic eruption thousands of years ago, the lake sits high in the mountains and is surrounded by steep crater walls and rugged volcanic terrain.

At an elevation of approximately 2,000 meters (6,560 ft) above sea level, Segara Anak is known for its deep blue waters and geothermal activity, including nearby hot springs. The lake is an important spiritual site for local Sasak and Balinese Hindu communities and a popular destination for trekkers exploring Mount Rinjani National Park.
